Bangaluru District Photo Studio Owners Association (R): August 2010

1. Established on 16th July 2009
2. Purpose of our Association Establishment Price competition and there is no proper unity in the studio owner’s, and also compete with each other having their own price for list the same work in different parts in Bangalore, cause the customer’s won’t trust on any photo studio’s. On this stage we thought to provide decent and fixed price list in entire Bangalore to facilitate customers and photo studio owners to improve the knowledge on photography, other social services, to build trust on photographers and should not get loss in the business service to customers as well as photo studio owners we established this association last year.
3. A few lab members in Bangalore to shown their flex banners having their own wholesale rates, at least 3000 small scale photo studio owners got a greater loss on their business. So we explained the lab owners about the current situation and remove a flex banners containing their own wholesale prices.
4. We fixed up the prices to be same in all over Bangalore photo studios.
5. We Divided our association as a branches in different parts of Bangalore.
6. We made a very good relationship between lab & studio’s.
7. A monthly meeting to be held on every month about a photographical & studio related discussions.
8. On the revolution in the digital methods, since past 10 years, establishment of our association was very helpful to the lab and photo studio owners.
Our Associations Ambitions:
1. The unity of Bangalore District Photo Studio Owner’s Association, we can try to demand the facilities like “Yashaswini” from the Insurance Company, “Health Protection” facilities on lower cost.
2. We also try to establish the Photography Society and Technical Training Center with the help of unity in lab & photo studio owners of all over Bangalore.
3. With the competitions from the lab owners, the medium and small scale owners, digital creators facing a loss in their business. We tried to fix up a price for the same on everybody to keep a healthy environment in the business.
4. Raw Materials price are grown up and still hiking, for the same purpose, on our photography prices are falling, so, with unity in us will sure to increase the prices as well.
Activities of our Association:
1. Free printers given to the handicapped photographers.
2. Free Health checkup and Blood Donation camp held on the world photography day on last year.
3. We collected money, food, cloths as much as we can for the people who suffered from the flood in last year on the heading by Mr. S. Shivram, senior kannada film actor we organized a walkathon to collect a Flood Relief Fund for disabled people, given to chief ministers disaster fund and food, beverages, cloth and others are given to Tv9 organization.
4. On the situation at recession, market-loss, economy down, price’s fall a few photo studio owner’s got very much loss at that moment the photo association given a helping hand to some to rebuild the confidence on themselves.
